Trip Plan: Edo Wonderland and Nikko v.2008-11-22

We are planning to go to Nikko Edo Mura (Edo Wonderland) to see the old Japan during
the Edo Era. Then enjoy a very cold afternoon while seeing the beautiful Nikko.

[Woh! I saw a new commercial and TV Special about Nikko while doing this plan.]

Here is my one-day trip plan:

Start/End Place : Bubaigawara / Inaginaganuma (see notes below)
Target : Edo Wonderland and Nikko



1. Go to Asakusa.

Bubaigawara 5:30 -- Asakusa 6:45 AM >> 590 Yen

2. Buy Kinugawa Theme Park Pass

Kinugawa Edo Wonderland >> 6000 Yen

3. Go to Tobu-nikko

Asakusa 7:10 -- Tobu-Nikko 9:15 AM >> included with Theme Pass

4. Intermission : Breakfast / Take some pictures at Nikko

5. Ride Bus at JR Nikko Station going to Edo Wonderland

JR Nikko Station 10:05 -- Edo Wonderland 10:35 >>included with Theme Pass

6. Enjoy Edo Wonderland for 5 hours
> Take Pictures
> Enjoy Ninja Shows
> See Geisha Parade
> Wear Edo clothes -- dont't know price
> Take Lunch

7. Leave Edo Wonderland at 3:20 PM

Edo Wonderland 3:20 -- JR Nikko 3:55 PM >> included with Theme Pass

8. Enjoy Nikko for a While
> Have dinner
> Shopping
> Take pictures

9. Leave Nikko at 6:00 PM

Tobu-Nikko 6:10 -- Asakusa 8:55 PM >> included with Theme Pass

10. Go back to Bubaigawara

Notes for other trip planners:
- Goal: to be at Asakusa before 7AM to ride a 7:10 Tobu-Nikko train.
- Train takes an hour interval

Movie Review: Full Metal Alchemist (Live-Action)

Finally, I was able to watch the live-action of Full Metal Alchemist. I can say, the visual effects and graphics were well-made. The locations were fitting for the movie. I think the actors who portrayed Lust and Hughes were a close look-alike to the anime. The scene when Nina became a chimaera, I remember it was a very sad episode. I think some scenes lack a believable script and portrayal. Too bad, the civil war was not developed well in this movie. Also, I expected more alchemy and action scenes. Anyway, where is Armstrong? Still, in the end, I enjoyed the movie. I hope they can make it better for the next instalment, if ever.

Satisfied with the Kobukuro ALL SINGLES BEST album

It has been a month since I bought the Kobukuro ALL SINGLES BEST that I have been searching for lyrics written in romanji. (Becasuse I am not a good reader of Kanji). Thanks to Amy's blog entitled "Obsessed with Kobukuro", I am now able to sing along with Kobukuro. I can now rest and say I'm satisfied. 2017 Freddy Beach Rib Fest

This was my first time to see a lot of Canadians in Fredericton - I always thought it is a ghost town. I went to see the first night of the Freddy Beach Rib Fest last Thursday.
